This coffee liqueur recipe is perfect for making at home. Since it does not require any special equipment or rare ingredients, you can make this amazing drink in your kitchen at any time.
Make syrup from water and sugar. Pour sugar into a saucepan, add a little water and bring the mixture to a boil over low heat. When the liquid acquires a pleasant olive tint and stops foaming heavily, the syrup can be removed from the heat and cooled.
Add a few spoons of instant coffee to the syrup and stir well - you can reduce or increase the amount to suit your taste.
Melt the chocolate in a water bath and stir into the coffee syrup. Place the prepared mixture in the refrigerator until it cools completely, after which you can add vodka. Mix the drink very well; if it is thick, you can add a little cold boiled water.
Strain homemade coffee liqueur through a fine strainer, pour into a glass jar or bottle and refrigerate for several hours. The finished drink will have a richer taste if you let it brew for several days.

Coffee liqueur "MOKKA"
Mocha (or Moko) means many things: 1) a chocolate-coffee drink; 2) a port city in Yemen, which is famous for its coffee market; 3) type of coffee bean; and 4) a stovetop espresso maker, first manufactured by Bialetti Industries in 1933. This coffee-chocolate liqueur (let's call it a rarer interpretation of the translation of the Yemenite Mokha / Mocha - Mocha) could be inspired by any of the above. And if you choose to cook it with real Yemeni Moka grain, you will only support the overall concept.
Similar to the relationship between coffee and roasted hazelnuts, coffee and cocoa beans (look for crushed roasted cocoa beans in health food stores) share many flavor characteristics, including a balance of acidity and bitterness, fire-roasted flavors, and a affinity for the sugar that makes them especially pleasant in this liqueur.
- 350 ml quality vodka
- 350 ml fruit brandy
- 100 g roasted crushed cocoa beans
- 100 g medium roast coffee beans
- 300 ml brown sugar simple syrup
Roughly crush the coffee and cocoa, pour into a liter jar and add alcohol. Mix thoroughly, close the jar tightly and put it in a cool, dark place for 3-5 days. When you are satisfied with the taste, strain through a sieve, filter and add syrup made from equal parts of water and high-quality brown cane sugar. Leave it for 2-3 weeks and you can try. Store in a dark cupboard and use within 6 months.

How to drink liqueur correctly?
Before buying liqueur, it is better to decide in advance for what purpose and what flavor you want to purchase the drink. It is worth understanding that liqueurs are different from other alcoholic drinks. They should not be drunk like cognac or whiskey, dulling them with a snack.
The liqueur has a pronounced taste, which the snack can spoil. In addition, it is very sweet, so you should drink it after the main meal in small portions of 30 ml. The volume of drink consumed per day should not exceed 100 ml.
The use of liqueur as a base for cocktails is very popular. Here you can already afford a little more, but don’t overdo it.
