Master class for teachers “Drawing with coffee solution”

The topic of my master class is “Unconventional drawing "

, and I’ll start with the words of V. A. Sukhomlinsky:

"The more skill in a child's hand , the smarter the child."

Children love to draw , but sometimes they become bored, tiring and uninteresting. While they are little, parents draw with them with paints, felt-tip pens , and pencils. And when they grow up , they come to school - again the same set of art materials. Boring.

So gradually the interest in drawing fades .

What can be done to ensure that children’s interest in creativity does not fade?

drawing classes I use unconventional drawing , thereby creating a desire to engage in such an interesting activity.

Original drawing reveals creative abilities, allows you to feel various art materials, their character and mood.

There are a lot of non-traditional techniques, and both you and I often use many of them in our work with children.

But today I want to introduce you to another type of unconventional drawing . what we will draw from the following riddle:

I woke up early this morning and poured myself an Americano.

For lunch, while reading the press, I ordered an espresso,

And then I found a reason to drink a cup of cappuccino.

And in the evening, guys, I drank a latte macchiato.

So answer me, friends, what did I drink in the end?

The topic of my master class is “Miracles from a coffee cup

and today I want to introduce you to the unconventional technique
of drawing with coffee solution .
Drawings created using this technique are called autumn color painting.

The works turn out to be very calm and warm.

Painting coffee the same way one paints with watercolors is another “discovery”

contemporary artists. I took advantage of this discovery and tried my strengths and skills in this direction.

I will show you works done using this technique.

But this picture is “red poppies”

entirely made by children's hands.

Coffee pigment is applied to paper using an ordinary art brush or sponge used for washing dishes.

Instant coffee is ideal for creating designs in a single, warm color scheme. The more saturated the solution , the brighter the tone.

The originality and attractiveness of this drawing technique is that I showed the children an unusual use of an ordinary drink for artistic creativity.

the material itself is environmentally friendly, the designs are warm and natural, attracting children with their invigorating aroma.

For drawing you can also use very strongly brewed ground coffee or instant ground coffee granules . It is instant coffee that allows you to get a rich, almost black tone.

And this allows you to make contrasting , from the lightest shades to deep dark accents.

The brand of coffee is not important , but I use those varieties that I like the taste and smell.

Practical part of the master class :

Now we will draw a small landscape with you.

We will need a thick sheet of paper, thin brushes for drawing small details , foam rubber or a wide brush for the background, coffee , sugar. We take foam rubber and apply the tone with a coffee solution . Then, using the corner of a sponge, apply strokes with a saturated solution in jerky movements—this creates bushes .

In order to draw thin blades of grass, you need to either wait for them to dry completely and paint them with thin brushes, or make strokes of different lengths using a toothpick coffee By scratching the leaf, we create grooves into which the coffee , and gradually these thin blades of grass will appear. Then, after drying, we can add thicker blades of grass.

To draw small grass with a brush, we hold the brush not like a pencil or pen, but more freely, a little further from the drawing edge than when writing.

Vanilla, chicory, cinnamon, tea, hibiscus tea. turmeric, sugar. Yes, all this and much more can be used in coffee drawing .

To create a snowflake effect, take a pinch of sugar grains and sprinkle on the wet background. It seems like nothing is happening, but you just need to wait, think about the good, and you will see. stars and specks! Magic!

The main secret in getting these snowflakes is to guess the moisture content of the paper.

The works turn out to be very warm, soulful and fragrant.

that the thicker the coffee , the richer the shade, and the more layers you apply after the first layer has dried, the brighter and shimmering the pattern turns out.

I also tried to paint with chicory - the drawings and tinting the sheet with chicory gives a certain shine to the work - they seem to shimmer. And one more thing - when tinting a sheet and drawing coffee, it is better to choose paper with a denser texture.

The creative process is a real miracle. drawing techniques in your practice as often as possible and watch how children reveal their unique abilities and how happy they are.

Latte art technique

Now let's look at the most important question - how to make a beautiful design on coffee foam? To create artistic compositions, a metal cup with a spout is used - a pitcher, also called a milk jug. The master may also need other tools for latte art: a pastry syringe, thin nozzles for it, sticks of different shapes and lengths, with the help of which the drawing is adjusted.

The first stage involves mixing milk, espresso and foam. To do this, the cup is tilted until a fairly deep place appears. The milk and foam must be thrown exactly into the deepest point. The master's main task is to carefully break the surface of the coffee and prevent it from ricocheting off the bottom of the cup. If everything is done correctly, natural mixing of the components will occur. You may not be able to perform this operation the first time, so before demonstrating your newly acquired skills to someone, practice well.

Next, repeated mixing is carried out, called “swing”. During this procedure, the latte artist moves the pitcher over the cup, slowly pouring milk until the drink is finally ready for further drawing. And finally, the last step is to create the image. There are many techniques for painting on coffee foam that are worth considering in more detail.

How I create coffee drawings on paper

Greetings to all! I really, really love to draw, especially with coffee solution on paper. My first experiments with coffee on paper appeared in 2010. At that time I couldn’t drink coffee at all, and I decided to try drawing with it to feel my favorite aroma. Happened! Now I can’t stop. I’m experimenting with adding cocoa, chicory, vanilla, cinnamon, sugar. I combine coffee with watercolors.

I decided to make this little master class on coffee drawings so that anyone could try to create their own fragrant fairy tale. It's not difficult: you'll need coffee, brushes, high-quality watercolor paper, clean water, napkins, and a frame with glass.

First, you need to prepare a coffee solution for drawing. I tried boiling ground coffee until thick, but now I use a simplified recipe. I take instant granulated coffee (it’s important that it’s not the cheapest) and add enough water to make a creamy mass. I definitely give it time to settle, then the solution becomes uniformly glossy and syrupy without any bubbles or undissolved granules.

Synthetic brushes are suitable: round and oval, thin (No. 2, 4) and thicker (No. 8, for example). Natural round brushes will also work.

Napkins are useful for blotting off excess moisture from brushes.

Well, at the end you need to protect the dried drawing with glass and frame it. If this is not done, the drawing may deteriorate from moisture. Unplanned droplets leave light spots and streaks on the image. It is not necessary to fix the drawing with varnish, because... Coffee under glass is preserved perfectly, but the varnish can ruin all the charm of the aroma of a coffee masterpiece.

The desire to experiment and a creative mood help! A new MK is planned
