IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.
•
Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the
appliance.
•
Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use. Keep out of
reach of children or incompetent persons.
•
From time to time check the cord for damages. Never use the appli
ance if cord or appliance show any signs of damage.
•
Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indi
cated in these instructions.
•
Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any
reason at all. Never place it into the dishwasher.
•
Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
•
Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent
qualified service (*), unless it is of a detachable type. In that case it can be replaced by the user himself. You will find similar cords in domestic appliances stores. Be sure to replace it with a cord of the same type.
•
Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance from the power sup
ply.
•
All repairs should be made by a competent qualified service

Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry envi
ronment.
•
Never use accessories which are not recommended by the product
er. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.

Appearance
The Vitek VT-1517 coffee maker features a modern design . The successful combination of coffee and black colors makes it stand out among its analogues. The design of the device is made of durable environmentally friendly plastic.
The shutdown button on the body of the coffee maker is an obvious plus for the model. Few people would want to disconnect the cable from the power source every time after use.

VITEK expresses gratitude for your choice and guarantees
high quality and flawless functioning of the product you purchased, subject to the rules of its operation.
The warranty period for all products is 12 months from the date of purchase. Data
With a warranty card, VITEK confirms the serviceability of this product and undertakes to eliminate free of charge all faults that arose due to the fault of the manufacturer.
Warranty repairs can be performed at an authorized
service center in Russia.
Warranty terms:
1.
This warranty is valid subject to the following conditions:

correct and clear filling out of the warranty card indicating the name of the model, its serial number, date of sale and the seal of the selling company in the warranty card and tear-off coupons;
—
availability of the original receipt (cheque) containing the date of purchase.
2.
VITEK reserves the right to refuse warranty service if the above documents are not provided, or if the information in them is incomplete, illegible, or contradictory.
3.
The warranty does not include periodic maintenance, installation, adjustment of the product at the owner’s home, or cleaning of audio-video heads.
4.
Products with defects resulting from:

mechanical damage;
—
failure to comply with operating conditions or erroneous actions of the owner;
—
improper installation, transportation;
—
natural disasters (lightning, fire, flood, etc.), as well as other causes beyond the control of the seller and manufacturer;
—
penetration of foreign objects, liquids, insects into the product;
—
repairs or structural changes by unauthorized persons;
—
use of equipment for professional purposes;
—
deviations from the State Technical Standards for power supply, telecommunications and cable networks;
—
when parts with a limited service life fail.

This warranty does not prejudice the consumer's legal rights granted to him by applicable law.

Make sure the appliance never comes into contact with inflammable
materials, such as curtains, cloth, etc... when it is in use, as a fire might occur. Keep a distance of at least 1 meter between the appli ance and the curtains.
•
Do not use the appliance for defrosting food and only insert unbut
tered slices of bread of which the thickness does not risk to prevent the bread from coming up. Be extremely strict about this as toasters are the cause of many fires when these elementary safety precautions are not observed.
•
Empty the appliance frequently of bread crumbs. Make sure
appliance is always unplugged before emptying it. Check the » Maintenance and cleaning » section.
•
When cleaning the appliance, do not use metallic scourers in order
to avoid any future risk of electric short circuit.
HOW TO OPERATE
•
Plug the Power Cord into a Power Outlet and turn On.
•
Place Bread to be Toasted centrally into the Toasting Slots.
•
Adjust the Toast Color Selector Knob to your desired Toast Color
position.
•
Depress the Carriage Knob down until it latches in place. The bread
will be lowered and automatically begin Toasting, and the On (Light will illuminate).
•
The carriage will not latch down unless the Plug is in the Power
Outlet and turned ON. If Toasting Frozen bread, after the carriage has latched down, press the Frozen
Button.
•
The Frozen Light illuminates when the Frozen Bread setting has
been activated.
•
The Frozen Bread setting adds approximately 30 seconds extra to
the Toasting times. If Re heating cooled Toast, after the carriage has latched down, press the Reheat
Button.
•
The Reheat Light illuminates when the Reheat Toast setting has
been activated.
The Reheat Toast setting operates for approximately 30 seconds

Functions and modes
Due to the simple control panel , just press a button and your favorite invigorating drink is ready. In the coffee maker you can brew a latte, traditional espresso or an airy cappuccino. A huge advantage of the device is the ability to regulate the volume and portions of coffee .
The cup platform is equipped with a heating function . The drink will maintain the optimal temperature for a long time without losing its taste if the dishes are preheated on this platform.

9. To keep the coffee hot, return the carafe to the warming plate after serving. The warming plate will automatically cycle to maintain ideal serving temperature as long as the coffee maker is on.
10. Switch control to off when carafe is empty or when unit is not in use.
11. To brew another carafe of coffee, turn the unit off and wait 10 minutes to allow heating element to cool.
Important: If the unit is not allowed to cool before immediate repeated use, water placed in water chamber may become overheated and a spray of steam could be released from opening, creating a risk of burns.
BREWING A SECOND POT OF COFFEE
As mentioned above, it is recommended that the coffee maker should be in off position for 10 minutes between cycles, in order to allow unit to cool. While unit is in off position, dispose of used coffee filter, and rinse carafe and filter basket in water. Place a fresh filter in basket. Repeat brewing procedure.
1. Store coffee in a cool dry place. Once coffee has been opened, keep it tightly sealed in the refrigerator to maintain freshness.
2. For optimum coffee, buy whole beans and grind them finely just before brewing.
3. Do not re use coffee grounds since this will greatly impair coffee flavor.
4. Re heating coffee is not recommended. Coffee is at its peak flavor immediately after brewing.
5. Small oil droplets on the surface of brewed; black coffee is due to the extraction of oil from the coffee grounds. Oiliness may occur more frequently if heavily roasted coffees are used. Over extraction may also cause oiliness, indicating a need to clean your coffee maker.
CARE AND CLEANING OF YOUR COFFEE MAKER
Always make sure the coffee maker is unplugged and warming plate is cool before attempting to clean. After daily use, the filter basket and carafe should be washed in hot, sudsy water. Wipe exterior with a damp cloth to remove superficial stains. For stubborn stains, use a nylon or plastic pad with a non abrasive cleanser.
MAKING COFFEE •
Fill the reservoir with water to the desired level.
•
Place the container on the heating panel.
•
Place the paper filter in the filter basket.
Place the appropriate amount of ground coffee into the filter. If your model has a permanent filter, do not use a paper filter.
•
Close the lid of the coffee maker.
•
Press the “ON/OFF” button, the indicator will light up
inclusions.
•
If you want to pour a cup of coffee before it runs out
coffee preparation process, simply remove the container from the heating panel. When the container is removed, a special valve closes, preventing coffee from leaking out. When you place the container in place, the valve will automatically open and allow the coffee to flow into the container.
•
After making coffee, turn off the appliance.
AFTER USE •
Turn off the device. Open the water tank cover.
Remove used coffee from the filter.
•
If you used a permanent filter, remove it from
coffee and rinse with water.
•
Before brewing coffee again, let the coffee maker
cool down.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USING COFFEE •
When preparing coffee, take a break from operating the appliance.
